Job Summary:
The Bookkeeping, Accounting, and Auditing Clerk will maintain accounting records for the company using Yardi.
Duties/Responsibilities:
A property management bookkeeper/accountant handles various accounting, finance, and billing details for residential, multifamily, and real estate.
- Maintain accurate financial records for all properties, including accounts payable, budget to actual reporting, and general ledger.
- Record daily financial transactions in accounting software.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
- Track and manage vendor payments.
- Assist with audits and other financial reviews.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial data analysis.
- Ability to use accounting software to record, store, and analyze financial data.
- Ability to efficiently operate a 10-key calculator or equivalent and other related office equipment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience using Yardi.
- Experience working in the Property Management Industry.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree with accounting coursework preferred.
- At least three years of bookkeeping experience is preferred in the Property Management Industry.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
